This study aims to: (1) determine the prevalence of use of discount cards among patients, (2) determine the magnitude of the distribution of discount cards to physicians, (3) identify the advantages and disadvantages of discount cards to patients and physicians, (4) describe perceptions of drug store outlet owners on discount cards, and (5) provide policy recommendations regarding policy on pharmaceutical promotions such as AO 2015-0053.
