HERDIN PLUS is a health research information management system and collaboration platform for Higher Education and Research and Development Institutions to collect, organize, and disseminate research information.
Our story
The Philippine Health Research Registry: A Journey from Vision to Reality
With the vision to improve the flow of health-related information in the country, the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD), in partnership with the Department of Health and University of the Philippines Manila, established the Health Research and Development Information Network (HERDIN) in 1986.
In 2013, the Republic Act 10532 institutionalized the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) and officially recognized HERDIN as the National Health Research Repository. It was stated in the law that all health researches shall be registered in the Philippine Health Research Registry (PHRR) and when published, to the national repository (HERDIN).
Today, the HERDIN PLUS continues to evolve as a one stop health research information management platform, increasing access to health research information systems for better health and better quality of life for Filipinos.
