Teleradiology as an alternative to face-to-face consultation: The perceptions of residents and fellows of the Philippine General Hospital
Consultation with radiology is usually sought for discussion of imaging findings, diagnosis and differential diagnoses, and planning of patient treatment. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly all consultations with the radiology department of the Philippine General Hospital were conducted face-to-face. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing measures had to be enforced, putting a halt to face-to-face interactions. Consultation with PGH diagnostic radiology is now mostly conducted via teleradiology. The goal of this study was to determine if teleradiology is deemed an adequate alternative to face-to-face consultation by the residents and fellows of the UP-Philippine General Hospital.
The study was a single center, qualitative, cross-sectional study.
Online survey questionnaires were utilized to elicit the perceptions of residents and fellows of UP-Philippine General Hospital.
